Bec Design isn’t just a business—it was destiny. As someone who’s always been fashion-forward, with a deep passion for clothing and accessories, I was lucky enough that the universe led me to the path I was meant to be on. This journey began long before when, in 2019, my dear friend and mentor, Bec, started the business. When I learned she was moving back to New Zealand, I couldn’t help but wonder—what would happen to the brand?

A few weeks later, we crossed paths, and she asked me what I’d been thinking about doing professionally. Little did I know, that moment would change everything! She became my mentor, guiding me through every step, and before long, I was hooked. I quickly realized that jewelry design was more than just a craft; it was the most authentic expression of who I am. I can’t imagine doing anything else. This is what I’m supposed to be when I grow up.

Learning the ropes from Bec was invaluable. She taught me the ins and outs of the business, but more than that, she showed me the art of constant evolution. In my work I’m always refining my skills, and as a strategic thinker, I love problem-solving during the design process. This blend of creativity and strategy has been key to developing the pieces I’m so proud of today.

Taking over the business in 2024 was exhilarating—and yes, a little terrifying. It wasn’t just about honoring Bec’s legacy; it was about finding my voice and carving out my own brand identity. I quickly learned I couldn’t be Bec, but I could create something that spoke to my soul—and, most importantly, to my customers. The feedback I’ve received has been incredible and reinforced that I’m on the right path.

What excites me most is the creative freedom. I get to design pieces that reflect the endless inspiration around me. Whether it’s a colour, a shape, or a moment that sparks my imagination, the possibilities are limitless. My mission is to help women feel empowered, confident, and beautiful through my jewelry. I want them to slip on a piece and instantly feel bold, sexy, timeless, or luxurious whatever it is they want to exude. I believe jewelry should be a statement, allowing women to express who they are without ever having to say a word.

Becoming the boss babe I’ve always aspired to be has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. As a single mom, I’m grateful for the flexibility that running my own business gives me, allowing me to be there for my son while also inspiring him with my work ethic and passion. It’s fulfilling on a level I never imagined, and I’m so proud to continue the legacy of Bec Design while doing what I love.

The magic continues, and I can’t wait to keep growing, creating, and sharing my passion with all of you.
